The Point Pleasant school and
community were involved in a comprehensive
self-study to identify strengths and needs that
would serve as the foundation of a Long Range Plan
that would guide the system into the next century.
As a result of this effort, the Board of Education
approved a Long Range Plan for School Improvement
1996 - 2001. The Plan establishes four priorities
and goals for the system.
Curriculum Renewal
Provide a
curriculum that challenges each learner, aligns
with New Jersey Proficiencies and Standards, and
expanded learning's of Point Pleasant Schools.
Assessment Alignment
Provide an
array of assessments aligning with mastery
objectives (New Jersey Proficiencies and
Standards).
Staff Development
Develop
and refine skills in instructional leadership
and conferencing.
Operational Improvement Assure success for each learner consistent with the mission of Point Pleasant Schools. On an annual basis, objectives are developed that address these priorities and |
