The Borough’s trash is collected by a private firm which the Borough contracts with. They will collect most items such as furniture or bedding and carpet with the exception of automobile parts or items which the Borough recycles. They will also collect small amount of building materials which can be placed in one trash can per pick up or tied in small bundles. Large amounts of building materials must be taken to the Ocean County Landfill, Route 70, Manchester. (732)323-8528

If you have an appliance or other metal items to be collected, the Borough collects metals items on the third Tuesday of each month. You must call the office (892-1287) to be placed on the collection list.

If the item you have contains freon, it must be removed by a certified technician. Bring the receipt to our office to receive a sticker for your appliance, and be placed on the collection list. ( no item with potential freon will be collected until a sticker is issued and affixed to it.
