Mayor Robert A. Sabosik, Borough of Point Pleasant Council and the Point Pleasant Borough Office of Emergency Management are closely monitoring Hurricane Joaquin.
Although a definite forecast and landfall have not been determined yet, Officials are looking to begin proactive precautionary actions to ensure preparedness within the Borough.
We are asking residents to please do the following:
* Secure all lawn furniture and large loose items around your property or business.
* Fuel up vehicles. (In the event of power outages, gas pumps will not work).
* Charge cell phones.
* Have an Emergency Plan and Emergency Kit ready.
* Continue to monitor the Borough of Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Borough OEM Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
